We have never offered invitations that were not created in house, however the products we will be adding will be top quality. ISES April Meeting at the Scottish Rite Center

Good turnout for the ISES Member Showcase and luncheon today! So nice to meet some new folks looking for services that we may be able to offer.

Guest Speaker was Kathie Nelson, the Busy Professional's Business Strategist. You can find her at www.KathieNelson.com. She spoke about finding opportunities for new business in any economy. Some great information was shared!

April Oregon ABC Meeting at Aura

Our April Oregon ABC Meeting was held at Aura. Heather Halstad of Sorella Events coordinated this meeting, and had this to say about the experience:

"Thank you to everyone who attended the April Association of Bridal Consultants meeting! April’s meeting was held at Aura Restaurant and Lounge on Burnside in Portland. I had a wonderful time coordinating this meeting with Anne Laubernds Bencomo who is the corporate marketing manager and event coordinator for Aura and Kristina Griffith who handles events and parties for Team Casino. We worked together to make this networking based meeting fun and enjoyable.

Aura Restaurant and Lounge is a modern event and meeting space with innovative design, flexible interior and state-of-the-art lighting, multi-media and sound.

ABC members and guests enjoyed a sampling of the great foods Aura has to offer such as Pacific Rim Crab Cakes, Seared Beef Tips, Arancini (Risotto Balls), and Grilled Vegetable Skewers. For dessert, Aura’s staff brought out Chambord Infused Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Espresso Mousse, and Fresh Cut Fruit with dipping sauce. They did an amazing job!

The entertainment for the evening was provided by Team Casino. Team Casino offers Las Vegas style gaming tables for parties and special events. When guests arrived at Aura, they were given $500 in ABC funny money. The funny money could then be cashed in for chips at the gaming tables located in the upstairs lounge area. This allowed guests to play casino games like roulette, craps, and blackjack. At the end of the evening, guests cashed in their chips for raffle tickets to enter the drawing for prizes. Aura, The Fish Grotto, and Cherie Ronning provided the prizes for the drawing.

Overall, the evening was wonderful! Thank you to everyone who helped put this meeting together and all of the ABC members and guests who attended. See you next month!"

Spring is finally here!

I hope the gloom of winter is over. The bad weather and the bad economy have really darkened so many people's lives. But now trees and flowers are blooming, so it is time to put on a smile again!
