Bravo! Wedding Affair - sponsored in part by Uncommon Invites

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bravo! Publications and Tradeshows Announces
Fifth Annual “Wedding Affair” in PORTLAND, Oregon

Brides and their guests are invited to an intimate wedding event featuring over 60 wedding services showcased for the upcoming wedding season. The fifth annual Bravo! Wedding Affair will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel – Portland Downtown, 319 SW Pine Street, from 11am-4pm on Sunday, November 23rd.

Tickets are $25 for a bride and a guest ($15 for a bride only or $15 per guest), and are available at http://www.bravowedding.com/.

Two sessions available – A: 11am-1:30pm and B: 1:30pm-4pm. Space is limited.

Two floors of the Embassy Suites Hotel will be transformed into a variety of wedding vignettes involving themes, such as “Hidden Garden”, “Natural Elegance”, “Singing in the Rain” and “Old Hollywood. Each room is coordinated by a local wedding consultant and is staged to look like a reception, rehearsal dinner or ceremony.

Unlike large-scale tradeshows, brides have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with wedding vendors. From the centerpieces to the wedding cake, invitations to the photography, music to catering, every detail has been carefully thought out and meticulously taken care of – all to help simplify the task of planning a wedding.

New this year are two destination wedding rooms – one for Central Oregon and one for the Coastal Region.

Short seminars ranging in topics from “how to choose your accessories” to “room décor” will be presented every half hour. A roaming fashion show will take place throughout the event and every bride that registers by Friday, Nov. 14th will also receive a custom hand printed name badge from Calligraphy by Alesia Zorn.

This year’s event is sponsored by the Embassy Suites Hotel, Hybrid Moon Video Productions, 105.1 the Buzz, and Uncommon Invites.

Bravo! Publications & Tradeshows, located in Lake Oswego, Ore., also publishes an Event Resource Guide, produces Bravo! Live, a showcase of the Hospitality and Meeting Industry and the Central Oregon Wedding Showcase.

Paper and Print Options

Did you know that at Uncommon Invites we use some of the finest papers produced in the world? We use Arturo Fabriano paper from Italy; designer papers from Japan and India; Metallics from Star Dream & Curious that originate in Sweden and a matte finish color palate from Paper Source - many of which are 30% post consumer waste.

We offer digital flat printing, thermography and letterpress printing.

With our flat printing, we offer full color at no additional charge. This is great if you have a complex design or photo you wish to add, or just want to do something more creative than the basic black or navy. The turn around time on this process is 3-5 business days after approval of all pieces.

Thermography is a process where the invitation pieces are printed on an offset press and then fed into the thermography tunnel. While the ink is still wet, microscopic particles filter down and land on the ink, while circulating air carries the extra particles away. The tunnel is 1000 degrees, and when the particles adhere to the ink the heat causes them to expand, creating the raised printing. The turn around time on this process is 5-10 business days after approval of all pieces.

Letterpress is an ago old process that requires a plate to be made. We still use metal plates. The plate is mounted to the press, the paper is fed one piece at a time, the ink is rolled onto the plate and then the plate is pounded into the paper. The print or image is indented into the paper - which can be controlled as to how far it indents (the bump) and the ink fills in the indentation. Each color requires a separate plate to be made and run. The turn around time on this process is 15-20 business days after approval of all pieces.

Depending on your personal style and budget - one of these print processes will be right for you or your clients.

All of our invitations come with coordinating envelopes. You can add a specialty liner or additional pieces to round out the invitation suite to include a RSVP card/envelope set and other needed information cards.
